Gli sviluppatori di League implorano pietà mentre AD Ahri top sostituisce la build rottamata di LeBlanc
League devs get overwhelmed as AD Ahri emerges as a new meta
Creating a balanced game like League of Legends is no easy task, especially when off-meta builds start wreaking havoc. Despite multiple nerfs to Statikk Shiv and the champions abusing it, the balance team has been struggling to maintain equilibrium. The latest victim of this imbalance is LeBlanc, who has caused quite a headache for the developers ever since the reintroduction of Statikk Shiv.
LeBlanc quickly took advantage of the item and its interactions, ultimately transitioning into an AD top laner. However, this build quickly garnered attention from professional players and was nerfed to prevent its abuse during the 2023 World Championship.
But the story doesn't end there. LeBlanc specialist Bobqin has now developed a new build, this time for Ahri, which has the potential to be even stronger than the previous one. The development team is discouraged by this revelation.
AD Ahri emerges as a new force
Bobqin, known for popularizing the AD LeBlanc build, wasted no time in experimenting with the same build on Ahri after LeBlanc's nerfs. Unlike LeBlanc, Ahri's AD and attack speed scaling remained untouched, making her the perfect candidate to test the build.
Within a short period, Bobqin discovered that AD Ahri was just as powerful as AD LeBlanc, if not more so. Her high mobility, ability to easily trigger Trinity Force's Spellblade, and a reliable crowd control ability in the form of her charm have made her a formidable replacement for LeBlanc.
Despite pleas from the community and even the balance team, Bobqin continues to develop these game-breaking builds, making the task of balancing the game even more challenging for lead gameplay designer Phroxzon.
AD Ahri at Worlds 2023
With the Worlds patch already live, it is unlikely for any further changes to be made. This means that players will have the opportunity to try out AD Ahri during the tournament. If the build catches on, Ahri could become the next defining pick in the meta, filling the void left by LeBlanc.
As the balance team tirelessly tries to keep up with the ever-evolving game, Statikk Shiv's influence on the meta continues to persist. Despite its recent reintroduction, it remains to be seen whether Shiv will face the chopping block in Season 14, which promises significant item changes.
